Overview
Dean: Prof. Hany M. Harb, Ph.D.
There is no least doubt that now the whole world witnesses an age of information revolution, which differs in its features and characteristics from any of the previous ages. This information revolution age is considered a support for human-beingís mental abilities and all of the available aspects of knowledge. Moreover, the information production is the main criteria of the recent age with all its impacts on life generally and on the economic aspects specifically.

The college of Information Technology was established in 2001, as one of the faculties of Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST), specialized in two main fields: Computer Science and Information Systems. It moves towards achieving tremendous information revolution and preparing distinguished human cadres on the Arab and national level.

Furthermore, the college is very keen for its effective participation in the promising information sophistication as this field of technology has a real impact on developing the personal capacities, widening the mental horizons, and raising the humansí ability of thinking, discussing and arguing.

In response to the overwhelming demand of Information Technology (IT) Professionals throughout the world, MUSTís College of Information Technology is providing the educational environment to help the students in developing the theoretical groundwork and applied skills needed to pursue careers as IT professionals in computing, software development, manufacturing, service, public and other business sectors.

It is overall philosophy of the college to offer a curriculum that is focused not only on theoretical work but also on the practical aspects of the technology itself.

It is very tangible that the college of Information Technology cares about the hiring of prominent figures of the teaching staff, those who have solid knowledge together with theoretical and applied experience. They are capable of exploiting the available resources for sustaining the educational skills, estimating the studentsí standard, preparing and developing the courses and administrating the educational process for achieving the goals in the best way exactly as internationally organized.†
