- MUST staff, either the teaching or the administrative staff, must be treated equally with due respect —regardless of their administrative hierarchy.
- Truthfulness and the critical spirit are essential principles in research and acquiring different fields of knowledge produced by MUST since ‘truth’ entails the availability of efficiency as well as the critical observation of facts, experimentation comparing different views, reliable sources in addition to creative, accurate thinking.

First : College Members
I. Ethics of Scientific Research

- Urging students to bear responsibility when conducting analyses as well as recording findings, and try to prove them scientifically.
- Be committed to thorough and fair evaluation for the research he is entrusted to judge.
II. Ethics in the Field of Social Work Services and Community Development
- Executing the work entrusted by MUST administration or college.
- To set a good example in his conduct in and out of campus.

- Their researches and lectures should be relevant to the community needs.

- Maintaining data confidentiality, especially data related to persons, their behaviour, exams as well as financial data.
- Maintaining public funds with regards to using the equipment and requirements as well as making full use of work time.
- Abiding by the regulations and laws and rules applied in force.
- Seeking to achieve the mission of MUST and the department he is affiliated to.
- Staff members’ relations, regardless of the administrative hierarchy, should be based on mutual respect and keenness on public good.
Third : The Student
- Getting the ID card since it is the document that provides the personal identification in campus.
- Participating in scientific societies and taking part in establishment them, in addition to participating in their activities as per the regulating rules therein.
- Making use of the publications available in different libraries (either thru perusing or borrowing them) according to the regulating rules.
- Making use of MUST labs for two reasons : to prove the students’ experiments and creative research works, and broaden their horizons as per the regulating rules.
- Participating in different activities conducted under the auspices of MUST, such as sports activities, cultural as well as social ones.
- Providing full social care for students in campus to help them solve the problems that hinder their academic achievement. That can be done through their academic advisors in campus as well as social researchers. The student has the right, however, to get their financial aid as per the rules applied.
- Providing them with the documents issued by MUST including the degrees after the completion of graduation requirements.
- They have the right to ask their teachers in campus about ambiguous points if any, talk to them properly, and ask to clarify them. Neither punishment nor censorship is imposed on them in this respect as long as they are committed to the laws and regulations applied in force as well as the rules of decorum.
- The student enjoys the rights mentioned in these regulations including the right to stop enrolment, re-enrolment, withdrawal as well as filing a complaint against their exam results, etc.
- The student has the right to receive a formal payment receipt whenever they pay for any service in the university, and further, to refund the insurance they had paid as per MUST regulations.
- The student retains their right to claim them according to MUST regulations applied. All students are equal in terms of rights as well as duties.
- The student’s file is kept in a safe place in campus according to the required rules of privacy and confidentiality. No document of their files is given except to the students themselves or the authorized person. Nothing concerning their status is published unless it is due to a punishment decree. There’s special confidentiality as to the personal photos of the student, especially those of female students; they must not be shown or given to any person whoever except for the concerned person (employee), considering that photos are an essential requirement of admission, accordingly, they must be kept properly.
II. Students’ Duties:
- The student should abide by the rules stated in these regulations, especially those concerned with attendance, show due diligence in learning, as well as taking exams in order to achieve the desired success. .
- Pay for the services they require, such as tuition fees, fines, etc.
- Abstain from causing any trouble that might affect the continuation of study or even seek to instigate to do so, or take part in any planned non-attendance of lectures or any other university-related obligatory activities.
- Abstain from any indecent behaviour, verbally or non-verbally, that might affect the student’s or MUST reputation in campus or out of it.
- Abide by exams regulated systems, abstain from copying from others or even seek to do so.
- Seek to keep MUST premises, equipment, scientific instruments, books in good condition, and return borrowed books to the central library in due time without causing any damage.
- Forming any society in campus or being a member of it is not permitted unless no permission has been given through the concerned department.
- Distributing any publication (bulletins, leaflets, etc.), hanging wall charts etc., are not permitted anywhere in campus. Collecting money or signatures for any reason is not also permitted unless no permission has been given through the concerned department.
- Show due respect to all MUST staff (the administrative as well as the teaching staff), abstain from committing any offence or abuse against any of them verbally or non-verbally.
- Abstain from seeking to make any change in the official documents issued by MUST or any other body, and shouldn’t possess them illegally.
- Show complete obedience to the punishment inflicted on them.
- Abstain from carrying any kind of firearms including cold steels in campus or during their representation for MUST.
- Wear suitable clothes befitting their attendance in campus.
- Appear as a respectable representative for MUST as befitting its academic stature.
- Keep in touch with MUST issued items, such as regulations and instructions including the materials published or announced on noticeboards (bulletin board) in campus or on the official website. Unawareness of these is no excuse.
- Political parties’ activities are banned in campus. They can be practised only out of the campus.
- Be committed to the university high values, including scientific research integrity by stating the references used, providing the findings of researches done, views and ideas should be based on pure scientific grounds and disregarding fear, shyness or unfairness.
All concerned parties in MUST are committed to show due respect to this covenant, seek to promote it and apply it as strictly and properly as possible once the environment is suitable to apply it according to common sense. All members of MUST should respect and promote the principles that result in exemplary behaviour and good manners.
