Under the patronage of Mr. Khaled El-Toukhy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Nehad El-Mahboub, Acting President of the University, Dean of the College of Medicine, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Soad Kafafi University Hospital
The College of Medicine, under the supervision of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector led by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fouad, organized the first medical service convoy of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The convoy was part of the activities to commemorate World Heart and Lung Day and the college’s annual plan for convoys and community service activities. Basic medical services were provided to patients visiting the convoy throughout the day at the Clinical Training and Simulation Center, including blood pressure, weight, blood oxygen, and sugar measurements.
Additionally, eight clinics were available for various medical specialties (General Surgery, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics). Patients requiring further examinations, interventional treatments, or surgeries were referred to Soad Kafafi University Hospital.
In line with the college and university’s mission to enhance student training and community participation, several college students and intern doctors participated in the convoy to observe and train in clinical medical practice and to encourage community service work.
