







On a Special Interactive Day Under the Patronage of Mr. Khaled El-Tohky, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Nehad El-Mahboub, University President, and Prof. Hussein Ibrahim, Dean of the College of Languages and Translation, the College of Foreign Languages and Translation hosted students from the German school of Suad Kafafi International Schools (SKILLS) on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Prof. Nehad El-Mahboub, the university president, welcomed the German school students, along with the faculty members from the German school, warmly greeting them and taking commemorative photos.
The event provided a dynamic and fruitful interaction between the visiting students and the university students. This occasion fostered cultural exchange, language learning, and interactive activities, creating a bridge between young learners and university students through music, games, and academic challenges.
The event began with a welcoming speech by Prof. Hussein Ibrahim, the College Dean, who highlighted the role of student activities in language learning and the field training agreement between the college and the school. He emphasized that this interactive event is considered one of the valuable outcomes of their mutual cooperation.
The event officially commenced with an opening speech on behalf of the school, introducing the purpose and objectives of the gathering. The activities then began with performances in German, English, and Arabic, starting with the song The Dreamers, followed by a lively dance performance and a nostalgic German song recalling childhood memories. A performance entitled “Arab Mathematicians” was presented, paying tribute to the great scholars and their contributions to the world. This was followed by a German-language performance on professions, featuring an educational and entertaining song about various careers. The love for one’s homeland was then celebrated through an excerpt from Al Watan Al Akbar (The Greater Nation), a song composed by the legendary musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab. The event also included an interactive activity entitled “Let’s Play in German”, where students from the college’s German Department engaged with the visiting students in an entertaining and educational experience. The closing part featured a final song, followed by a concluding speech by Ms. Manar Barakat, and a group photo session with the university president and college administration.
The event was organized by Ms. Manar Barakat, the Training Director of the German School, in collaboration with Prof. Ahmed Adel, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Adel Saleh, Head of the German Department and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies. The event was attended by Prof. Hanan Shokry, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, along with several faculty members, teaching assistants, and staff from the German school, as well as students from the college’s German Department.
