The Paediatric Nursing Department at the College of Nursing seeks to graduate distinguished paediatric nursing cadres capable of continuous self-learning and employ scientific research and technology in the development of integrated paediatric nursing care from birth to adolescence for them and their families in health and illness and contribute to solving community health problems and competition nationally and internationally.

  2. Preparing qualified graduates who have the cognitive and practical skills to meet the needs of children, adolescents, their families, and society, at different ages and circumstances, to improve the quality of clinical, preventive, and rehabilitative treatment.
  3. Strengthening students’ positive attitudes towards the necessity of self-education, critical thinking, and continuing personal and professional growth.
  4. Cooperating with the health team in various health institutions by participating in scientific missions, leadership, and various community services for the contribution of pediatric nursing to discoveries and innovations to meet the growing health needs of children that the current stage needs more than ever.
  5. Students acquire the highest level of information and skills to observe the natural and abnormal changes of children in all stages of development and physical, motor, mental and psychological growth at the normal rate.
  6. Develop knowledge of family dynamics, family relationships, and experiences that affect a child’s ability to adapt to daily life activities in health and disease.
  7. Develop students’ practical abilities to design and implement a nursing care plan in the different disciplines of pediatric nursing to meet the needs of children with different diseases and special needs.
  8. Develop research skills to gain access to modern information and innovations in the field of pediatric nursing.
