Introduction

The Center for Sustainability, Climate and Energy at Misr University for Science & Technology is an institutional entity operating under the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector. It reflects the University’s transition from separate sustainability initiatives into an integrated, measurable, and continuously improved institutional sustainability system. The Center integrates sustainability, climate action, energy, resources, training, and community engagement into education, applied research, campus operations, and outreach in alignment with Egypt Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Center operates through seven specialized units covering renewable energy and energy efficiency, capacity development and training, partnerships and community engagement, assets operation and water and waste management, climate change and natural resources with smart agriculture, sustainable construction and smart cities, and carbon footprint measurement. Together, these units provide the operational structure needed for planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and institutional communication.
