Climate Change, Natural Resources and Smart Sustainable Agriculture Unit is one of the specialized units within the Center for Sustainability, Climate and Energy. It translates the Center’s strategic priorities into implementable activities on campus and through community and industry partnerships. The unit will be linked to the University Climate Action Plan, the Center executive plan, and institutional sustainability indicators, while allowing future updates for projects, events, and achievements.
- Support climate adaptation programs on campus and in the surrounding community.
- Manage natural resources and vegetation to mitigate heat-island effects.
- Develop climate-smart agriculture and smart irrigation applications.
- Link research with practical environmental applications in hot and semi-arid contexts.
