As part of the ongoing academic collaboration between Misr University for Science and Technology and the University of Genoa, an exceptional training day was organized for the diploma trainees. The aim was to equip them with the latest techniques in the design and fabrication of esthetic dental restorations, with a focus on recent advancements in the field of digital dentistry
The training featured lectures and practical workshops on the “Exocad” software specialized in digital dental design, as well as hands-on instruction in using the “Intraoral Scanner” (Elephant, Medit, and Primescan), which enhances diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning by providing precise three-dimensional images of the mouth and teeth.
The program also included an overview of the latest methods for fabricating digital dental prostheses, such as the Air Abrasion technique using the Aqua Care device, which allows for more precise tooth preparation with minimal impact on dental tissues, thereby improving treatment outcomes
