Misr University for Science and Technology Hosts the Japanese Language and Egyptian Culture Evening – 5th Edition. for the first time in its history, the university is honored to host the Japanese Language and Egyptian Culture Evening - 5th Edition (第5回日本語の夕べ), a distinguished cultural and academic event that reflects the depth of Egyptian-Japanese relations and promotes cultural exchange between the two nations. The event is held under the patronage of Mr. Khaled El-Tokhy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Hala El-Manoufi, President of the University, and in the presence of H.E. Mr. Fumio Iwai, Ambassador of Japan to the Arab Republic of Egypt. The evening will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the University Opera House, Misr University for Science and Technology. The event brings together Japanese Language Departments from several Egyptian universities, including: MUST University, Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), Al-Ahram Canadian University, Benha University, and the Egyptian Kōminkan. The program features a rich variety of artistic and cultural performances representing both cultures, including singing performances, musical ensembles, theatrical performances, Japanese traditional shows, and Egyptian folkloric performances. The evening will be attended by a distinguished group of guests, headed by H.E. the Japanese Ambassador and his spouse, representatives of the Japanese Consulate, a Japanese delegation from The Japan Foundation, a number of former ministers, representatives of diplomatic bodies from the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Education, presidents of Egyptian universities, and officials of Egyptian-Japanese Schools. It is worth noting that this marks the first time Misr University for Science and Technology hosts this prestigious event, becoming the first Egyptian university to host the fifth edition of the Japanese Language and Egyptian Culture Evening, following previous editions that were held at the residence of H.E. Mr. Fumio Iwai, Ambassador of Japan in Cairo. Attendance is open to the general public, reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting cultural initiatives and fostering openness to diverse cultures
