College of Medicine Holds Mental Health Seminar

On May 13th, 2025, the College of Medicine held an important and enriching seminar on mental health, targeting undergraduate students, medical interns, and university employees.

The guest of honor was Ambassador Nabila Makram, former Minister of State for Emigration and Expatriates’ Affairs, and the Founder and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Fahim Foundation for Psychological Support.

The seminar primarily aimed to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and to provide valuable guidance on coping with stress and the challenges faced in academic, professional, and personal contexts

The seminar included an open dialogue session between Ambassador Nabila Makram and the attendees, along with interactive lectures delivered by leading mental health professionals. These lectures addressed strategies for managing stress and enhancing psychological well-being

The event saw high attendance and active participation, reflecting the increasing awareness of mental health’s significance within our university community

This event is part of the College’s and the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector’s ongoing efforts to fulfill the university’s mission of promoting community engagement and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
