Students from the Medical Sector Colleges Win Top Places

Under the patronage of Mr. Khaled El-Toukhy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Misr University for Science and Technology, and in the presence of Professor Nihad El-Mahboub, President of the University; Professor Mokhtar El-Zawahiri, Vice President of the University for Monitoring and Documentation Affairs; Professor Magdy Abdel Qader, Vice President for Vice Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research; Professor Anas Attia El-Feki, Director of the Arab Heritage Center and General Supervisor of the Competition; Professor Husseini El-Gendy, General Supervisor of the University Mosque; and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Youth Care Department, the university held a ceremony honoring the winners of the annual Quran Competition on Saturday, Ramadan 22, 1446 AH (March 22, 2025 AD), after the Taraweeh prayer. The competition is organized by the university and announced annually during Ramadan.

This year, 267 contestants, including male and female students, university staff, and their children, won the competition.

Students from the faculties of the medical sector (medicine, oral and dental surgery, pharmacy, and nursing) excelled in this competition, which included seven levels: the entire Holy Quran with an interpretation of the twenty-first juz’ (chapter), the Holy Quran only, 25 juz’s (chapters), 20 juz’s (chapters), 15 juz’s (chapters), 10 juz’s (chapters), and five juz’s (chapters). Honorings included certificates of appreciation and financial prizes for outstanding students.

The ceremony was presented by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Saadi, one of the imams of the university mosque, who began with a recitation of blessed verses from the Holy Quran by Sheikh Bilal Saif, one of the mosque’s imams. This was followed by a speech by Professor Anas Attia Al-Faqih, the general supervisor of the competition. The speech covered the history of this competition, which dates back more than twenty years under the patronage of the late Dr. Suad Kafafi, founder of the university, and later Mr. Khaled Al-Toukhi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The university’s Youth Care Department team, led by Sheikh Hani Abdel Qader, also performed religious chanting segments, followed by supplications by Sheikh Bilal Saif.
