College of Medicine Holds Annual Conference with World Heart Day Celebration

Under the patronage of Mr. Khaled El-Toukhy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Hala El-Menoufi, Acting University President, Prof. Nehad El-Mahboub, Dean of the College of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Souad Kafafi University Hospital,

the College of Medicine held their annual conference and the annual celebration of World Heart Day in cooperation with the World Heart Federation.The conference was supervised by:
Prof. Ahmed Fouad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Prof. Ahmed Tamara, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Head of the Cardiology Department
Prof. Mahmoud Tantawy, Professor of Cardiology The conference included several scientific sessions aimed at placing students and medical interns on the speaker’s platform rather than the recipient’s. It also aimed to broaden the horizons of scientific communication between them, as well as with the attending College members, as well as the conference’s honorary guests. The conference was attended by honorary guests from outside the university, including:
Prof. Nadia Zakhari, former Minister of Scientific Research Ambassador Nabila Makram, former Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, founder of the Fahim Foundation for Psychological Support
Prof. Osama Abdel Hay, Head of the Doctors’ Syndicate
Prof. Emad Obeid, Deputy Dean of the National Cancer Institute Alongside a host of other college Deans and College members.
The conference activities also included marking World Heart Day in cooperation with the World Heart Federation, by setting up several awareness stations inside and outside the university campus to measure basic vital signs for the public and students, while raising awareness about methods of preventing and treating heart disease
