Orientation Day for Master’s Degree Postgraduate Students

As part of its commitment to advancing postgraduate education and scientific research, the College of Oral and Dental Surgery at Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) held an Orientation Day for new master’s students for the upcoming academic year, with strong attendance from the university and college leadership.

Attendees included:

  • Prof. Dr. Hala El Menoufy – President of the University and Dean of the College
  • Prof. Dr. Magdy Abdelkader – Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research
  • Prof. Dr. Etemad Rekaby – Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research
  • Prof. Dr. Nehal Kabil – Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs
  • Prof. Dr. Manal Elbermawy – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development

A distinguished group of faculty members and postgraduate program supervisors also attended the event, reflecting the college’s strong commitment to supporting students throughout their academic journey.

Prof. Dr. Hala El Menoufy opened the event with a welcoming address, emphasizing the university’s dedication to fostering a research-driven academic environment and encouraging students to fully engage in their postgraduate studies.

Prof. Dr. Magdy Abdelkader also delivered a speech highlighting the university’s continuous efforts to align its postgraduate programs with international standards and reaffirming its full support for researchers and students at all levels.

In her address, Prof. Dr. Etemad Rekaby outlined the postgraduate study regulations, academic tracking process, and the key responsibilities of students during their master’s journey. She also emphasized the postgraduate office’s readiness to provide continuous academic and administrative support.

The orientation program concluded with a series of informative sessions covering:

  • The credit-hour system and postgraduate study structure
  • Academic regulations and policies
  • Thesis preparation and submission procedures
  • Research ethics
  • Registration and enrollment processes
  • Academic and technical support available to students

In addition, an introductory lecture was delivered on the services provided by the Central Library to support researchers and postgraduate students, presented by Ms. Basant Morjan, Research Services Specialist at the Central Library. The event concluded with an open Q&A session, during which faculty members addressed students’ inquiries and guided them on how to effectively engage with college departments and available resources.
