Scientific Seminar at the College of Biotechnology, Misr University for Science and Technology, on Water Challenges and Sustainable Solutions

As part of the scientific and cultural activities organized by the College of Biotechnology, Misr University for Science and Technology, a seminar entitled

“Global Challenges in Water Purification, Desalination and Wastewater Treatment: Towards Sustainable Solutions”

was held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, delivered by Prof. Hossam Mostafa Hussein, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University.

The seminar discussed the major global challenges in water purification, desalination, and wastewater treatment, emphasizing sustainable solutions and modern biotechnological approaches. It aimed to bridge academic knowledge with practical applications in addressing water and environmental issues, supporting Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation).

The event witnessed active participation from students and alumni and provided valuable discussions on the role of scientific research in developing innovative solutions for global and national water challenges, in light of climate change and global environmental challenges.
