Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure Misr University for Science & Technology conducts its
activities with the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical behavior, and to
prevent all forms of bribery and corruption.

Scope

This policy applies to:
➢ All employees (permanent, temporary, full-time, part-time).
➢ Management and board members.
➢ Consultants, contractors, suppliers, and business partners.
➢ Any third party acting on behalf of the University.

Bribery is offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting anything of value to improperly
influence a decision or action.
Corruption includes abuse of power, position, or authority for personal gain.

The Organization adopts a zero-tolerance approach toward bribery and corruption. Any form of
bribery, facilitation payments, kickbacks, or unethical influence is strictly prohibited.

Gifts or hospitality may only be offered or accepted if they are:
• Of reasonable value.
• Given openly and transparently.
• Not intended to influence decisions.
• In compliance with university approval procedures.

  • Employees and Stakeholders

    • Comply with this policy at all times.
    • Avoid any situations that may lead to conflicts of interest.
    • Report any suspected cases of bribery or corruption promptly.

    Management

    • Ensure the effective implementation and enforcement of this policy.
    • Foster a culture of integrity, ethics, and awareness.
    • Take appropriate corrective and disciplinary actions when necessary.

    Reporting and Whistleblowing

    • Encourage the reporting of any suspected bribery or corruption without fear of retaliation.
    • Handle all reports with strict confidentiality and ensure fair investigation procedures.

    Violations and Disciplinary Actions

    • Any violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
    • Contracts with third parties may be terminated in case of non-compliance.
    • Legal action may be pursued where applicable.

    Compliance and Review

    • This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
