In this regards Misr University for Science and Technology is keened to provide a distinguished educational service to its students to enable them to own the knowledge economy to advance their societies and achieve the university’s goals of preparing and qualifying them; It has actively sought to develop education in accordance with standards of quality and academic accreditation, as well as to provide distinguished services to the outside community; The university has sought, with serious steps, to develop education in accordance with quality standards and local and international academic accreditation.
To achieve this, the university was distinguished and was a pioneer in creating the position of Vice President for Quality and Accreditation Affairs to provide the qualitative conditions for the university’s basic system, which is education and learning on the one hand; The university also paid attention to the system that supports the educational process, which is the administrative system, by providing the necessary administrative and financial standards to support the educational process.
The Quality Assurance Center at Misr University for Science and Technology aspires to achieve the accreditation of all university faculties by adopting national quality standards and enhancing the university’s competitiveness and leadership.
The Quality Assurance Center at Misr University for Science and Technology is committed to implementing systems, mechanisms, and practices of quality assurance through the continuous enhancement of the educational process, research activities, and community engagement in light of quality standards. This aims to fulfill the university’s vision and mission, position it among distinguished universities, and provide technical and consultative support to prepare faculties for accreditation.
- Promote a culture of quality and raise awareness of performance evaluation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen quality systems and excellence in the educational process.
- Organize specialized training programs to enhance the efficiency of university staff.
- Establish an integrated internal review system primarily aimed at providing technical support to university faculties to meet all requirements necessary for accreditation, and to continue monitoring performance development and improvement post-accreditation.
- Develop a set of benchmark specifications and comparative performance indicators across various aspects of institutional capacity and educational effectiveness to ensure the sustainability of the quality assurance system and verify the presence of effective and immediate actions taken by faculties to reinforce strengths and address weaknesses.
- Create a database and document information and activities conducted within all faculties.
- Establish communication channels with national and international bodies concerned with quality evaluation and assurance in higher education to exchange expertise and enhance the performance of the educational process at the university.
- Provide continuous support to quality assurance units in faculties to enable them to achieve accreditation.
- Strategic Planning Unit
The center is responsible for reviewing the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of strategic plans for the university faculties and the university’s overall strategic plan, whether in the preparation, updating, or execution phase. This is carried out through the unit’s objectives.
Goals of the Strategic Planning Unit
- Train and qualify teams to review faculty plans.
- Raise awareness of strategic planning and the preparation of strategic plans in higher education institutions.
- Design review tools for strategic plans during the preparation, updating, and implementation phases.
- Conduct periodic reviews of strategic and operational plans in university faculties according to the center’s work plan.
- Measurement, Follow-up, and Performance Evaluation Unit
Goals of the Measurement, Follow-up, and Performance Evaluation Unit
- Promote a culture of planning among university leadership and staff.
- Participate in the preparation of plans, monitor their implementation, and evaluate them.
- Contribute to proposing various policies that support the development and improvement of educational outcomes at the university.
- Monitor continuous improvement plans for institutional capacity and educational effectiveness in faculties.
- Evaluate performance and measure impact by tracking the development of performance indicators across faculties, the center, and the university.
- Follow up on the preparation of self-studies and annual reports for faculties.
- Monitor the development and qualification of laboratories in practical faculties, language labs, and computer labs.
- Propose and design self-assessment and performance measurement models.
- Internal Audit and Reporting Unit
This unit is responsible for reviewing newly developed plans, mechanisms, and follow-up and evaluation reports before they are presented for discussion and approval. It also conducts periodic reviews of course files to ensure that actual teaching and assessment methods align with approved course specifications. The unit prepares internal and external review reports for academic programs and courses.
Due to the critical importance of auditing and evaluation processes, a dedicated internal audit unit has been established within the university’s Quality Assurance Center to monitor the implementation of planned strategies and policies, verify the accuracy and validity of data, and analyze it. This, in turn, provides senior management with essential information to enhance operational efficiency and support continuous development.
Goals of the Internal Audit and Reporting Unit
- Monitor internal audit committees within faculties.
- Prepare plans for periodic audits and simulation visits.
- Participate in developing a training plan to meet the university’s needs in quality assurance systems and continuous development, based on feedback from audit processes.
- Training, Technical Support, and Community Engagement Unit
This unit is responsible for preparing a training plan to enhance and develop human resources within the faculty (faculty members, teaching assistants, technicians, administrative staff, students, and community stakeholders), contributing to the faculty’s strategic plan and achieving comprehensive quality.
In this context, the Training, Technical Support, and Community Engagement Unit provides targeted training plans for faculty members, their assistants, administrative staff, leadership, and students within the university. It also works more broadly outside the university to engage the surrounding community and build trust in the university’s outputs.
Goals of the Training, Technical Support, and Community Engagement Unit
- Develop a plan to promote a culture of quality among faculty members, administrative staff, and students.
- Provide technical support to directors and members of quality units in university faculties to establish internal quality systems and meet accreditation standards for higher education institutions.
- Carry out additional tasks and assignments as needed.
- Research, Media, and Information Systems Unit
Research, studies, and information represent essential resources for institutions in general, and for universities and higher education institutions in particular, to ensure continuity, development, and internal and external communication.
Accordingly, Misr University for Science and Technology established a dedicated unit within the Quality Assurance Center for research, media, and information systems. This unit monitors developments in the field of quality assurance in higher education, serves as a communication link between the university and its internal and external communities, and establishes an information system that collects, stores, processes, and disseminates data to support all university activities and enhance development and decision-making efficiency.
Goals of the Research, Media, and Information Systems Unit
- Collect data and information related to quality assurance systems, accreditation, and total quality management, and store them electronically for on-demand access.
- Communicate with the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation to stay updated on developments in accreditation, obtain models and guides issued by the authority, and learn about its training programs.
- Coordinate and liaise with the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
- Periodically measure stakeholder satisfaction with the center’s performance and activities.
- Enter and statistically analyze data from all survey and evaluation forms for faculty and center units.
- Develop a comprehensive database for the university’s quality system, including all documents and records required for accreditation (strategic plan, self-study, program and course specifications, program and course reports, internal audit reports, etc.).
- Digitize and document all data related to the center and quality assurance units in university faculties.
- Continuously update the center’s website.
- Prepare periodic reports for the unit.
- Participate in preparing periodic reports issued by the center.

Participate in preparing the long-term strategic plan in cooperation and coordination with the scientific and administrative components of the university to develop the learning and teaching process in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation, and constantly strive to update it according to the developments of higher education systems.
