• The Chinese language is one of the most important languages in the world due to the great importance of China, its civilization, its culture and its control over the world economy. Misr University for Science and Technology is also the first among the private universities that opened a department for teaching the Chinese language, as it was established in 2006 and graduated its first class in 2010.
  • The department consists of a group of Chinese language professors who specialize in the fields of language, translation and literature from the universities of Cairo and Ain Shams, in addition to foreign experts who are delegated every year by the department from China.
  • The Chinese Language Department aims to graduate students who are fully proficient in the Chinese language and literature, and provide the student with the linguistic competence necessary to work in various fields and prepare specialists in the Chinese language, translation and literature, while enabling the student to understand and interact with Chinese culture and exchange knowledge between Arab and Chinese cultures.
  • The student studies 150 academic hours between specialized subjects, faculty requirements, and university requirements.
  • Multiple fields of work with the Chinese language, including: (translation – tourist guidance – teaching – fields of marketing, publicity and advertising – the field of trade, import and export – in addition to scholarships in China).
  • The department offers scholarships every year for its students to study in China for a semester or an academic year, through agreements contracted with Chinese universities such as Hebey University of Science and Technology. Also, the department receives scholarships from the Chinese government every year. This is due to the excellence of his students.
  • Every year, the department students from different classes participate in the activities organized by the Chinese Cultural Center or the Confucius Institute at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University. Participation in these activities is a necessary and obligatory matter imposed by the department on the student to raise the linguistic and cultural level through dealing with other students from other universities.
