The study began in the Turkish language department in 2012/2013. The department grants its students a Bachelor’s degree in languages and translation (specializing in Turkish language and translation). Obtaining the academic degree requires the student to complete 141 credit hours, which include the basic department courses, university requirements courses, and faculty requirements courses. This is in addition to field training that contributes to the development of students’ professional skills, and provides them with practical experiences that qualify the student for the various requirements of the labor market in different fields. Successful completion of the field training period is a condition for graduation from the faculty.

The Turkish language and translation program at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Translation at Misr University for Science and Technology qualifies the student linguistically, cognitively, and skillfully through his study of the Turkish language, translation, and literature, allowing him to prepare systematic scientific research, self-learning, and dealing with the labor market that serves the local community, preserves cultural identity, and contributes to building a civilized personality that evaluates the elements of dialogue with other cultures.
