Under the patronage of Mr. Khaled El-Toukhy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Hala El-Menoufi, President of the University, and Prof. Emad Khalil, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Committee for Community Research and Studies, affiliated with the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector and chaired by Prof. Sahar Hassan Ahmed, organized the Pink October Day activities with the participation of various university colleges.
This event is part of the university’s ongoing commitment to enhance health and community awareness among students, college members, and staff. The activities included a series of awareness sessions and scientific lectures highlighting the importance of early detection of breast cancer, as well as discussions on the role of women in disease prevention and promoting public health. The program also featured educational and interactive segments, in addition to a workshop on breast self-examination.
The organization of this event reflects the university’s active social role and its continuous efforts to promote a culture of health awareness and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to public health
