The College of Special Education organized a training workshop titled “Fundamentals of Sign Language for Communication with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Individuals”, held on Monday, October 20, 2025.
The workshop was attended by faculty members and teaching assistants from several colleges across the university, reflecting the institution’s commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and joint work. Representatives from the following colleges participated:
The workshop covered an introduction to sign language and its importance, training on the basics of communication with deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, as well as learning a set of daily signs and essential vocabulary that support practical communication within educational and community institutions.
