Under the patronage of Mr. Khaled El-Toukhy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST), the College of Oral and Dental Surgery organized the First Entrepreneurship Conference, titled “Launching the Future from University Life to Professional Life”, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the Knowledge Center at MUST.

The conference was attended by more than 230 final-year students and internship doctors from the college, in addition to several deans, vice deans, and faculty members from across the university.

The conference aimed to enhance entrepreneurial thinking, promote knowledge exchange among experts, entrepreneurs, and academics, and support emerging projects and business development through the provision of guidance and networking opportunities between participants and business leaders.

The event also highlighted the importance of sustainable practices and innovative solutions for achieving long-term growth, while emphasizing the need to strengthen collaboration between universities and entrepreneurs to establish a dynamic ecosystem that supports future projects.

The conference featured scientific lectures and specialized workshops in the field of entrepreneurship. The sessions were opened with a distinguished lecture by Dr. Ehab Heikal, President of the Egyptian Dental Syndicate, titled “The Ten Commandments of Dental Marketing“. In addition, the conference included workshops on how to prepare feasibility studies for establishing dental clinics.

Panel discussions were also held, moderated by Professor Magdy Abdel Kader, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, with the participation of Dr. Nevine Wahdan, Lecturer at the College of Economics and Administration, and Dr. Nour El-Din Mostafa, Founder of Shiny White Dental Clinics. These discussions provided participants with valuable opportunities to develop their professional skills and exchange experiences.

A student-led exhibition of small business projects was also organized by the College of Oral and Dental Surgery. Students showcased their business ideas and projects that support the dental profession and reflect their individual skills and talents. The exhibition was inaugurated by Professor Hala El-Monoufy, Dean of the College, along with Dr. Ehab Heikal and Professor Manal El-Bermawy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The conference also welcomed representatives from the National Council for Women and the Leadership Youth Foundation, where discussions focused on the pivotal role of women and young professionals in shaping the future of entrepreneurship in the field of dentistry
