On 3 November 2024, Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST), through its Faculty of Oral and Dental Surgery, conducted an oral and dental health outreach campaign at Orman College School. The initiative aimed to raise awareness of oral hygiene, promote preventive dental care, and encourage healthy habits among school students.
The campaign reached approximately 300 students, who benefited from oral cavity examinations, caries screening, guidance on topical fluoride application, and practical hygiene demonstrations delivered by specialist healthcare professionals.
The programme also included dental hygiene kit distribution and workshops demonstrating proper toothbrushing techniques. Through this Health outreach programme, MUST highlighted the importance of hygiene, preventive oral care, and preventative healthcare in supporting children’s long-term health.
By promoting practical oral health education and access to essential hygiene resources, the campaign contributed to wider awareness of WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) principles. The initiative also reflects the value of student volunteering in community engagement and health education.
