MUST Organizes Dental Outreach Medical Caravan

On 15 January 2025, Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST), through its Faculty of Oral and Dental Surgery, conducted a dental outreach medical caravan for residents of Masaken Al-Amal in 6th of October City. The initiative aimed to improve oral health awareness and provide access to dental screening and guidance within the local community.

The caravan served approximately 30–50 residents and included diagnostic dental checkups, tooth decay screening, oral hygiene counselling, and referrals for further care where needed.

Participants also received toothbrushes and toothpaste as part of the initiative’s practical oral hygiene support. Through this Health outreach programme, MUST promoted hygiene awareness and highlighted the importance of early detection and preventive dental care.

The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to engaging with disadvantaged and refugees in the community, subject to the verified profile of the beneficiaries. By providing dental screening and practical health education, the caravan also demonstrated the potential impact of student volunteering in community-based healthcare.
