On 20 February 2025, Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST), through its Faculty of Oral and Dental Surgery, conducted a medical caravan in the Al-Munib area of Giza. The initiative aimed to promote oral health awareness, support early detection of dental conditions, and provide community members with dental screening and health education.
The caravan reached approximately 220 residents and featured comprehensive dental examinations, periodontal screening, oral pathology assessment, and practical oral hygiene education delivered by healthcare professionals.
The activities also included medication prescriptions, toothbrush distribution, and clinical referrals for individuals requiring further evaluation or treatment. These services supported the initiative’s focus on preventive dental care and the importance of seeking appropriate professional advice.
Through this Health outreach programme, MUST reinforced the importance of hygiene education and community engagement in improving oral health awareness. The initiative also highlighted the role of outreach activities in reaching disadvantaged and refugees, where applicable, and the contribution of student volunteering to community health initiatives.
By extending oral health awareness beyond the campus, MUST continued to demonstrate the importance of preventive care and community-oriented healthcare education.
