The College of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Drug Manufacturing Conducts Ophthalmology Screening Caravan for Vulnerable Groups

On October 15, 2024, Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) organized an ophthalmology screening medical caravan, coordinated by The College of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Drug Manufacturing .

The initiative provided free access to specialized eye care services for 60 to 70 indebted individuals (Gharimin/Gharimat) and local healthcare center beneficiaries, offering critical vision health support to disadvantaged and refugees within the community.

Specialist healthcare professionals delivered comprehensive visual acuity testing, ophthalmology examinations, and detailed eye health screenings to identify and address vision impairments early. The event’s success was further strengthened through ongoing collaboration with the Misr El-Kheir and Mostaqbalna Helmna foundations, ensuring holistic care and structured support for beneficiaries.

Through this targeted health outreach programme, MUST continues to demonstrate its dedication to expanding specialized healthcare access, reducing visual impairment risks, and uplifting vulnerable societal groups.
