The mission of the Spanish language program is to prepare the student and qualify him linguistically, cognitively and skillfully through his study of the literature and linguistics of the Spanish language, as well as the various translation sciences to qualify him for the needs of the labor market in the various fields of translation, allowing him to invest his personal skills in the areas of creative criticism. The department also seeks to create a scientific and academic climate characterized by flexibility, broad-mindedness, and the ability to develop oneself through dealing with other departments in the faculty, and establishing the principle of lifelong learning.
The department was established in 2011 with 33 students, then the number of its students increased until the number it has now reached 236 students.
