About department
The Department of Public Relations identifies the student with the organizational and administrative aspects of practicing the profession of public relations in terms of its objectives, organizational forms of its departments, its organizational position, and the selection of its employees. Through the courses of this specialization, the student is also introduced to the aspects of managing advertising activity with all advertising agencies, and the economic and marketing factors affecting it.
Besides this, a group of specialized faculty members introduces the student to the methods of editing, producing, and directing printed media materials in newspapers, publications, and pamphlets. This specialization also deals with the stages of implementing road and poster advertisements used in public relations programs. As well as printing methods and types, and the suitability of each type to each form of printed media materials, and the technical and executive aspects of advertising.
This specialization also supports the student’s knowledge of how the facility achieves its objectives by building and maintaining good and fruitful relations between it and its target audience, whether outside or inside the facility, in addition to learning how to manage crises that may occur in companies.
With the development that we are witnessing daily, and emergence of electronic means of communication, new developments have taken place in the fields of Public Relations and Advertising. The Public Relations Department looks forward to keeping pace with the challenges that accompany them besides facing them by preparing a graduate can deal with these developments and excels in the labor market locally and globally.
The department’s vision also derives from the department’s graduates benefiting by providing them with various professional training at the hands of well-versed experts in the fields of Public Relations.
The message of the Department of Public Relations and Advertising stems from the orientation to prepare graduates who are proficient in working in the advanced fields of Public Relations and being familiar with modern Advertising strategies in order to be able to deal with new communication and information technology then apply them in various fields, whether electronic or on the ground. Besides proficiency in institutional work in the light of high professional ethics and agreed codes of honor.
The mission of the Department also aims to be part of the development of media and professional institutions and the local community by employing qualified graduates and training programs in the areas of Public Relations and designing successful advertisements.
- Preparing a group of students and researchers who master theoretical, practical and professional skills in the field of Public Relations and being familiar with various knowledge in the fields of promoting companies, institutions and establishments, designing effective advertisements, and developing communication systems and digital media.
Supporting scientific research by holding various workshops, conferences and seminars, and preparing scientific thesis that contain new topics in the field of Public Relations. - Serving the Egyptian and Arab community by addressing social problems and trying to address them by encouraging students of the department’s graduation projects to conduct integrated media campaigns for social marketing and provide solutions, proposals and recommendations to confront these problems.
