The College of Oral and Dental Surgery participates in IDEX 2025

The College of Oral and Dental Surgery actively participated in the IDEX 2025 conference, one of the largest dental conferences, held from August 6 to 8, 2025.  

This year’s participation was distinguished by the presence of a select group of College members, distinguished international participation, and academic collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the University of Genoa, Italy, which enriched the conference activities and workshops.  

The conference was attended by Prof. Hala El-Menoufi, Dean of the College of Oral and Dental Surgery, the Vice Deans, College members, and teaching assistants, along with a large number of interns and students, who expressed their great benefit from the scientific content presented.  

The College confirmed its presence at the conference through the participation of Prof. Rita from the University of Genoa, Italy, who presented a specialized workshop on laser applications in dentistry, which received widespread acclaim from the attendees. Several faculty members also participated in scientific lectures and workshops covering all aspects of dentistry.  

This year’s conference featured close collaboration between the College of Oral and Dental Surgery and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Both parties presented a series of joint lectures and workshops at the conference venue, in addition to special lectures and workshops held at the College of Oral and Dental Surgery premises. These lectures focused on preparing dentists for the membership examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.  

The College’s participation in the conference reaffirms its commitment to its pioneering role in developing dental education and scientific research, as well as its involvement in all regional and international dental conferences and forums.
