Participation of the Equal Opportunities and Gender Equality Unit in a Financial Literacy Training Program in Cooperation with the National Council for Women
In line with the university’s commitment to women’s empowerment and enhancing students’ economic awareness, the Equal Opportunities and Gender Equality Unit, in cooperation with the National Council for Women, organised a specialised financial literacy training program held over five days from April 26 to April 30, 2026, at the university premises.
The program targeted female students in the Faculty of Dentistry, aiming to develop their financial skills and enhance their ability to plan and manage finances consciously and responsibly, thereby contributing to their economic independence.
The training program was delivered by Mr Tamer Saeed Abdelrahman, a financial literacy trainer, covering key topics such as saving concepts, personal budgeting, and sound financial management practices.
Mr Mohamed Fouad, Financial Inclusion Agreements Officer at Banque Misr, also contributed by delivering an awareness and guidance session focusing on the importance of financial inclusion, available banking services, and how to benefit from them to support individual financial stability.
This activity comes along with a series of initiatives implemented by the Equal Opportunities and Gender Equality Unit, reaffirming its role in supporting women’s empowerment and promoting community awareness of economic and development issues.
