The College of Oral and Dental Surgery at Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) was established in 1996 and is accredited by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). Offering a 5-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, the college combines rigorous academic training with hands-on clinical experience, preparing graduates for local and international dental practice. The curriculum aligns with National Academic Reference Standards (NARS) and emphasizes modern advancements in dentistry. The college has also received provisional accreditation by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh to offer MOrth preparatory programs, further enhancing its postgraduate training excellence. With 12 academic departments, interdisciplinary learning, and strong global collaborations—including partnerships with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK) and the University of Genoa (Italy)—the college fosters innovation in education, research, and community service. It is my honor to welcome you to the College of Oral and Dental Surgery at Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) —a pioneer in private dental education in Egypt since 1996. Our college is home to distinguished faculty members and dental experts who have laid a strong academic foundation and continue to drive innovation in dental education, research, and clinical practice.

Since assuming my role as Dean on June 15, 2021, I have been privileged to lead the college through significant advancements in both academic and infrastructural development. We have modernized our preclinical laboratories, educational clinics, and research centers, ensuring alignment with global educational standards. Our commitment extends beyond the undergraduate program in Oral and Dental Surgery—we have introduced structured internship training programs with a multidisciplinary approach, equipping graduates with the skills to excel in local, regional, and international markets.

I am proud to share that our college has earned accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE), a testament to our academic excellence. Additionally, we have forged strategic international partnerships, including  Postgraduate Diplomas in collaboration with the University of Genova, Italy in Implant Dentistry, Laser Dentistry, Facial Aesthetics, Digital Dentistry and a Master’s Program in Implantology in partnership with the Centre of Precision Technology, University of Huddersfield, UK.

Furthermore, we have launched postgraduate Master’s programs, paving the way for future PhD opportunities in dental specialties.

Misr University for Science and Technology

  1. The College of Oral and Dental Surgery offers a Post Graduate Diploma in Laser Applications, Dental Implants, Maxillofacial Aesthetics, and Digital Dentistry, in partnership with the University of Genoa, Italy.
  2. The British Fellowship program began with the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998 and is still ongoing. The College currently trains graduates to qualify for the British Fellowship exam in the following specialties:1. Membership in Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Periodontics (MRD) Orthodontic Membership (M. ORTHO) and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Membership (MOMS)
  3. A cooperation protocol with the Italian Cultural Office in Cairo on September 15, 2021 to hold scientific days in the presence of professors from the Italian University of Genoa
  4. An agreement protocol with the Center for Precision Technology, Huddersfield University, United Kingdom, since 2023.

Quality Assurance Unit

About: The Quality Assurance Unit was established by the College Council Decision on 2/10/2011, and the internal regulations and organizational structure were updated and approved for the academic year 2020/2021. It is an independent unit that reports to the dean of the college administratively, and it has a board of directors that organizes its activities through the committees and the constituent teams. It determines the financial needs necessary to carry out its tasks, and it is disbursed from the central university budget. The unit’s board of directors is made up of the dean, deans, faculty members, members of the executive committees, faculty members and their assistants, students, administrators, members of the external community, and alumni. Among the unit’s tasks is setting mechanisms for follow-up and performance evaluation, activating the internal review of all the college’s activities, following up on the implementation of the various plans approved by the College Council, exploring the views of the internally and externally concerned parties, and defining and activating training courses for leaders, faculty members, the supporting body, administrators, and students.

Vision: Achieving excellence for the college to become a unique college that works to improve dentistry in a way that qualifies it to obtain academic accreditation from national, regional and international, with a distinguished reputation and to achieve competitiveness and leadership for the college.

Mission: The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at Misr University for Science and Technology aims to spread the culture of quality, follow-up and evaluate performance in all elements of the educational system and research and service activities provided by  the college in light of the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation, and the adoption of a process of continuous improvement of institutional and academic performance to improve  the level of efficiency and competitiveness of its graduates and gain the confidence and satisfaction of the beneficiaries in order to achieve comprehensive quality and obtain accreditation.

Community & Environment

Leadership in the field of community services for the College of Oral and Dental Medicine locally and internationally.
Mission:
The Environmental Community Service Sector at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Misr University for Science and Technology seeks to build bridges of communication between the academic community of the faculty and the external community sectors. In addition to instilling human cadres in the field of community service
Strategic goals:
1. Strengthening the role of the college in the areas of community service.
2. Development of human cadres among dentists in the field of community service.
3. Developing and renewing the internal work environment in the college with the application of security and safety standards
4. Achieving infection control measures
5. Connecting graduates to various labor market institutions.
6. Develop continuous training programs for internship doctors and graduates in relation to the development of the various needs of the labor market.

Student Support Systems

  1. It supports books to be delivered from the book administration at the university with free textbooks, references, and a tablet for each student enrolled in the first year directly after the registration process.
  2. Medical, health, and preventive care (vaccinations Hepatitis B Medical Clinic and University Hospital).
  3. Transportation: The total numbers of males, females, and geographic range of the population are calculated through the Office of Student Affairs Data at the University which facilitates the students’ transportation.
  4. Provision of housing units for expatriates in agreement with the university.
  5. The University unit of psychological guidance is responsible for linking the university community and providing services and psychological counseling for university students to raise their efficiency and improve their performance.
