Egypt won first place in the Arab world on behalf of Misr University of Science and Technology, With the support and encouragement of His Excellency, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Khaled Al-Toukhy, and the esteemed Professor Dr. Nehad El-Mahboub, Acting University President for Administrative and Scientific Affairs, along with Professor Dr. Hala El-Manofi, President of the Student Exchange Council for Training and Creativity, Misr University for Science and Technology participated in the 24th Creative Student Forum held at Suhar University in the Sultanate of Oman from November 11 to 15, 2023. The event was held under the patronage of Her Excellency Professor Dr. Rahma Al-Mahrooqia, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Sultanate of Oman, and under the leadership of Professor Dr. Fawaz Al-Zaghloul, Director of the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity, and Professor Dr. Hamdan Al-Fazari, President of Suhar University, the hosting institution, in the presence of the delegation from Misr University for Science and Technology under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mokhtar El-Zawahri, Vice President of the University and member of the Executive Committee of the Arab Council.
Professor Dr. Hala El-Manofi, President of the Student Exchange Council at the University, nominated the creative student research presented by Misr University for Science and Technology at the forum.
In the category of “Modern Trends in Information Technology,” the research presented by the student Mustafa El-Naggar from the College of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Rania Abdulrahman AlGohary, dean of the college, was titled “Sign Language Recognition and 3D Avatar Creation to Enhance Sign Language Communication,” won the first position.In the category of “Scientific Creativity and Innovation,” the research presented by the student Eman Adel Abdel-Hamid from the Nursing College, under the supervision of ProfessorDr. Neven Samir Abdulgelil, dean of the college, was titled “Designing the digital solution ‘Weledy App’ to alleviate parental anxiety while searching for nurseries,” secured the fourth position.
