About College

The country is working hard to take care of its citizens and provide them with basic rights at all levels exerting the maximum effort to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people. The construction of modern societies requires us to build interest in the scientific community and that education is one of the most fundamental pillars. Private medical education is one of the pillars of modern civilization and it took great interest in its country; that is working to upgrade and promote all its divisions and branches. 

As Physical Therapy is considered a leader in the field of health care disciplines and plays an important role in maintaining the health of the individual and raising the efficiency of job performance, as well as maintaining the integrity of the community role was the need to establish a college of Physical Therapy at  Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST) at 6th of October City to achieve a quantum leap in medical education and meet the needs of the state health care sectors and based on the fact that the achievement of these goals is not just about government institutions effort.

College goals are achieved through providing the highest levels of education for specialists in the field of physiotherapy and qualified scientifically and practically the latest academic programs and teaching methods in light of an integrated study system based on credit hours, which gives the freedom for students to choose some courses that fit their interests and serve the various disciplines in the field of physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Collage of Physical Therapy, Misr University for Science and Technology is committed to the graduation of physiotherapy practitioners according to the National Academic Reference Standards who are able to meet the needs of local and regional physical therapy market and also as a researchers who committed to scientific research for the development of the profession within the framework of values and moral standards that support the service of society and the surrounding environment. My students,I congratulate you from the heart for joining the college and fulfilling your desire to belong to the college family, from which many graduates of the physiotherapy profession graduated and who have a clear imprint in that important medical specialty. We are proud and proud that we are among the sons of this great scientific edifice, which dates back to 1998. This is the scientific edifice that progresses and grows day after day. The college seeks excellence and leadership in this field by providing pioneering and advanced curricula that are concerned with studying modern techniques in the field of physical therapy. The college also provides practical and clinical training for students to help them gain practical experience in the field of their future profession, and all this thanks to the permanent and continuous support of the university administration and the efforts of the best professors who assumed responsibility and fulfilled their duties completely.

Program of Study

The study system in college is based on a system of credit hours offered in two semesters per year for each semester “fifteen weeks of continuing study” also put some of the courses in the summer semester, “eight weeks” to redouble school hours weekly in it. College tuition plan to complete 203 credit hours required to successfully obtain a bachelor’s degree in eleven classrooms (five years), followed by a year of training for 12 months in the teaching hospitals. Industry-first five academic classes to study the decisions of the basic sciences for Physical Therapy (pre-clinical), while the courses are taught theoretical and practical training and clinical teaching hospitals and surgeries for diseases of various organs of the body on the other semesters (clinical stage)

• The graduate students annually in the fall and spring and summer semesters.
• Clinical training (internship):

Students are required to go out to spend 192-200 hours per month, for a period of twelve months of clinical training (according to the list of internship) during training in teaching hospitals under the overall supervision of the academic and administrative supervision of the hospital. Students are distributed throughout the year on the following medical specialties:

− Two months in the Orthopedics sections.
− Two months in Neurology sections.
− Two months in Pediatrics sections.
− Two months in Cardiopulmonary and the elderly sections.
− One month in Surgery sections.
− One month in Gynecology and obstetrics sections.
− Two months are optional.

The minimum for success in any decision is 60% and be a successful student in any decision unless it got 30% in the written papers in the final exam for any decision to be the percentage of the final grades and estimates are as follows: * elective courses put on the summer semester and which may be put in other chapters as well as it is possible to put forward other decisions after the approval of the Faculty Council.

Credit hour = 1 hour theoretical.
= 2 practical hours.
= 3 clinical hours.

Quality Assurance Unit

About Quality Assurance Unit:
  • The Faculty of Physiotherapy seeks to gain the confidence of the community in the efficiency of performance, quality assurance and continuous development of the institutions, systems and programs of Misr University for Science and Technology in accordance with the mission of the university and its systems and programs that aim to comply with local, regional and international standards and specifications by relying on distinguished human competencies, sufficient material resources, and recognized measurement systems and mechanisms. It guarantees highly competitive capabilities in its educational, research, community, and environmental services. Misr University for Science and Technology established the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center as an administratively independent center affiliated with the university president, according to the university president’s decision No. 9 dated 9/18/2007. It also decided to establish a “quality assurance and accreditation unit” in each college in the university according to the same decision, and these units are considered subordinate to the center Technically, it follows dean of the college the administratively.

  • The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Physiotherapy – Misr University for Science and Technology was established by Decree of the Faculty Council No. 86 on 20/5/2009, in accordance with Article 44 of the Universities Organizing Law No. 49 of 1972. It is included as a unit within the organizational structure of the faculty and technically follows Quality Assurance Center at Misr University for Science and Technology.
  • The unit aims to evaluate the academic, administrative, and societal performance to develop the educational and research process, community service and environmental development to obtain accreditation according to the national academic standards by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
