The Center for Editing Arab Heritage at Misr University for Science and Technology, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Anas Attia Al-Faqi, added a special touch to its celebrations this year for the October victories by holding its first Islamic literary salon, dedicated to discussing “National and Islamic Belonging in the Poetry of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem,” on the morning of Saturday, 2nd Rabi’ Al-Akhir 1446 AH, corresponding to October 5, 2024. The event was attended by the honoree Prof. Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem, member of the Senior Scholars Authority and former President of Al-Azhar University; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Basha, member of the Arabic Language Academy and former Vice President of Cairo University; Sheikh Dr. Yousry Azzam, preacher at Amr Ibn Al-As Mosque; Prof. Dr. Khaled Fahmy, professor of linguistic studies and expert at the Arabic Language Academy; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Fathy Farag, professor at Menoufia University and Misr University for Science and Technology; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Adel Abdel Mawla, deputy dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation; Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mahdi Mahmoud, expert at the Arab Heritage Center; Prof. Dr. Husseini Abdel Mohsen El-Gendy, expert at the center; Dr. Walid Mubarak, director of the Scientific Heritage Center at Cairo University; Dr. Ahmed Sami Hussein Al-Munji; Sheikh Ahmed Rashad; and Mr. Farag Abdel Qader
Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem said that the Arab Heritage Center at Misr University for Science and Technology stands as a defender of Islam by publishing and preserving the treasures of Islamic heritage, emphasizing that heritage is our lineage, and whoever preserves their heritage preserves their identity. He called on all universities to follow in the footsteps of the Arab Heritage Center at Misr University for Science and Technology, praising its innovative and successful experience
