The College of Oral and Dental Surgery participated in the competition for high achieving students amongst public and private universities, which was organized by Misr University for Science and Technology as a part of the activities of the International Dental Conference IDC23, in cooperation with the Egyptian Association of Dental Societies, during the period from November 30th to December 1st, 2023. Twenty three public and private universities participated in the competition, the College of Oral and Dental Surgery won second place in the group competition for high achieving students and won first place for the conservative treatment division as well as dental materials.
The student competition was judged by a neutral party, the Military Medical Academy:
1- Major General/ Ahmed Amin – Chief Dentist at the Egyptian Armed Forces
2- Major General/ Rafik Kamal Girgis – Head of the Dental Department at Al-Galaa Military Medical Complex
3- Brigadier-General/ Youssef Mansy – Assistant Professor at the Military Medical Academy
