Misr University for Science and Technology has signed a memorandum of understanding with the British Cultural Center, in an official ceremony in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Haider Ghaleb, President of the University, and Ms. Elizabeth White, Director of the British Council.
The signing of this memorandum comes under the patronage of Mr. Khaled El-Toukhy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Misr University for Science and Technology. Due to the orientation of the Board of Trustees and the university administration to pay attention to educational technology, the university has established a center for academic and professional electronic exams at the university as part of its strategy for technological development and improvement of the academic and professional evaluation processes.
Prof. Ashraf Haider, President of the University, said that the memorandum aims to enhance cooperation in the field of international examinations and enhance the university position as an accredited center for registering IELTS exams, the International English Language Testing System, explaining that it is considered a strategic achievement that enhances the university reputation and provides new opportunities for students and learners in Egypt to test and evaluate their skills in the English language. IELTS is one of the most internationally recognized tests for assessing English language proficiency, and its results are endorsed by many educational institutions, governments, and employers worldwide.
As for the Director of the British Council, she expressed her happiness at signing this agreement, stressing that it reflects the council commitment to strengthening cultural and educational cooperation between the United Kingdom and Egypt.
