On Friday, November 15, 2024, the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing at Misr University for Science and Technology held the “Run and Protect Your Heart” event for the fifth consecutive year. This event is part of the “Towards Healthy Lifestyle” initiative, which aims to raise awareness about healthy lifestyles and physical activity as a means to maintain heart health and enhance physical fitness
This year, the event took on a distinctive character with an excursion to the vibrant city of Port Said. The day featured a range of exceptional activities, including:
· At Ferial Park, meditation sessions were conducted in a calm and comfortable environment.
· A visit to the Salt Mountains and the city’s archaeological landmarks, symbolizing determination and hard work in Egypt.
. Football matches that witnessed wide and enthusiastic participation.
. A running race along Port Said’s beach, divided into three age categories:
– Category One – Boys:
· 1st Place: Ashraf Qassem
· 2nd Place: Mohamed Abdel Jalil
· 3rd Place: Abdullah Masoud Saleh
– Category Two – Girls:
· 1st Place: Sama Sherif Hamdi
· 2nd Place: Marina Hany Saad
· 3rd Place: Asmaa Mahmoud Bayoumi
– Category Three – Children:
· 1st Place: Joudi Omar and Salim Abdel Jawad
· 2nd Place: Joudi Abdel Rahman Ziyadah
· 3rd Place: Aysel Omar
· 4th Place: Talia Omar
· 5th Place: Zein Al-Tahan
Cultural competitions, which included entertaining and educational questions, further enhanced interaction and communication among the participants.
This event falls under the third Sustainable Development Goal: Goal Three – Good Health and Well-being
The event also aligns with Egypt’s 2030 Vision, which aims to improve quality of life and build a healthy, sustainable society
An elite group of teaching staff, support staff, and students participated in the event, reflecting the positive spirit and teamwork embraced by the college
