Under the auspice of Prof. Wael Tawakkol, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing and Chairman of Microbiology Department, a delegation of students from the faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences has participated in The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) that was held in Abu Dhabi in September 2019. The delegation’s research study concerns about developing a new rapid technique for measuring antibiotic sensitivity in only two hours and as a point of care test. The delegation has been awarded a second place in the congress in the category of pharmaceutical sciences for this pioneering research. The delegation has included the fourth-year students, Ebrahim Zyada, Mohamed Akram, Ziad Mousa, Ahmed Tahoun, Ahmed Adel, and Yasmina El Mahboub.
