Participation of the College of Oral and Dental Surgery in the First Edition of the EPIC Conference on Dental Prosthetics and Implants in Continuation of its active participation in all dental conferences and forums, the College of Oral and Dental Surgery participated in the first edition of the EPIC Conference on Dental Prosthetics and Implants. The conference was held at Al-Azhar Conference Center in Nasr City on November 29-30, 2024. The college presented a valuable workshop titled: Immediate Implant and Basic Implant Placement The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Rehab El Sharkawy, Head of the Oral Surgery and Oral Pathology Department and Head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division. The college also participated with several lectures delivered by a distinguished group of professors: Guidelines in Managing Peri-Implantitis Delivered by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Gamal, Head of the Conservative Surgery Department and Professor of Oral Medicine, Periodontology, Diagnosis, and Radiology.
Achieving Anterior Natural Bioesthetics Delivered by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abou El Fadl, Professor of Prosthodontics and Digital Dentistry Consultant at the college. Managing Prosthetic Complications in Daily Implant Workflow Delivered by Dr. Heba El Sarif, Lecturer in the Prosthodontics Department and Executive Director of the Digital Dentistry Lab at the college.
The participation concluded with a live demonstration titled:
Vestibular Socket Therapy – A Novel Approach for Immediate Implant in Compromised Socket The demonstration was conducted by Ass. Prof. Bassem El Fahl, Assistant Professor in the Periodontology, Oral Medicine, Diagnosis, and Radiology Division, and Lecturer in the Dental Implant Fellowship in collaboration with the University of Genoa, Italy
