













In line with its contribution to community initiatives, the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Manufacturing at Misr University for Science and Technology participated in the “One-Day Market” project. The event was inaugurated on Friday, 15 November 2024, at 10:00 AM in collaboration with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade and the Cairo Governorate. This participation is part of the college’s efforts to support initiatives that ease the burden on citizens and enhance market stability.
Participation Under the Towards Healthy Lifestyle Initiative
The college was keen to provide outstanding services to visitors through a specialized medical tent that included:
• Providing sound nutritional guidance and emphasizing the importance of a balanced diet.
• Offering first-aid services.
• Raising awareness of the importance of healthy habits to improve quality of life
The “One-Day Market” Project and Its Objectives
Launched in cooperation between the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade and the Cairo Governorate, the project aims to:
• Reduce the number of intermediaries by connecting manufacturers directly with consumers, thereby lowering prices.
• Offer discounts of up to 30% on goods compared to local market prices.
• Provide a wide range of essential products, including meats, poultry, oils, rice, sugar, legumes, pasta, vegetables, fruits, eggs, dairy products, tea, and coffee.
• Ensure a sufficient reserve of goods to sustainably meet citizens’ needs.
Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt Vision 2030
This participation is part of the college’s efforts to achieve:
• Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production): Supporting a sustainable consumption and production pattern that guarantees the provision of healthy and safe products at competitive prices.
• Egypt Vision 2030: Enhancing the quality of life for Egyptian citizens through innovative initiatives that serve economic, social, and developmental objectives.

This initiative was under the patronage of:
• Mr. Khaled El-Toukhy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Misr University for Science and Technology.
