The College of Medicine held a research workshop conducted by a delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO), organized by the Medical Education Development Center (MEDC) under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Enas Abdel Rahim, and supervised by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, led by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fouad
The workshop introduced the efforts of the WHO in disseminating research methods through the Hinari platform, making them accessible to researchers of all ages and scientific interests
A distinguished group of department heads, faculty members, teaching assistants, resident doctors, and graduates from the college, as well as members of the university’s central library, participated in the workshop. They were trained to disseminate research awareness methods as research trainers
The delegation also visited the university’s central library, where they were received by Dr. Nada Labib, General Director of University Libraries and Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Library Affairs, to introduce the efforts of the central library and the university in facilitating research requirements for students at various levels. The delegation gifted the library a collection of research books.
The workshop is part of the college’s ongoing plan to continuously support its faculty members, students, and graduates in enhancing their scientific and academic proficiency
