After the World Health Organization announced the danger of the Marbage virus, the Faculty of Medicine, Misr University of Science and Technology, in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Ashraf Haider, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Nehad Al-Mahboub, on March 4th, 2023, and under the patronage of the Community Service and Environment Sector, organized a symposium on awareness of the danger of the virus and methods of transmission. Various departments participated in the symposium: Department of Internal Medicine, Dr. Amira Al-Ansari spoke about methods of treating infections, while Dr. Sherif Hetta spoke about methods of prevention, the mechanism of protection, and preventing the spread of infection. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Ansari shed light on the virus, its origin, its locations, and methods of spreading and diagnosing it.
