The College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing at Misr University for Science and Technology held the closing day of the first edition of the Presidential Initiative for Human Development “Towards a New Beginning to Build the Egyptian Human” on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the university’s conference hall.
This initiative comes in response to the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to focus on youth and prepare them for the labor market, under the umbrella of the “Future Generation” initiative, which aims to train and qualify youth and provide job opportunities for them.
The initiative was held under the patronage of Mr. Khaled El-Toukhy, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Rehab Ahmed Abdel-Moneim, Dean of the College, Dr. Ahmed Sami, Head of the Population and Facilities Committee and General Coordinator of the Initiative, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Gawad Ahmed, Head of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the College and Coordinator of the Initiative, and media figure Salah Amer, Head of the Supply Committee at the Board of Trustees of 6th of October Gardens City. During the event, the youth of the initiative were honored for completing the final stage of the intensive two-month training course, aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to qualify them for the labor market.
Dr. Rehab Ahmed Abdel-Moneim emphasized that the initiative provided valuable scientific material to the youth through workshops and lectures, which positively impacted their knowledge and preparation for the job market requirements. She expressed the College’s warm welcome to the members of the initiative, providing them with opportunities to benefit from its facilities and services, such as the library and laboratories, as well as attending some lectures and training courses.
Dr. Ahmed Sami expressed his happiness with the outstanding level of the youth in completing the training course, emphasizing their great ambition and ability to adapt to the rapid changes in the labor market, as well as their modern technical skills that make them capable of keeping up with and efficiently using technology. Congratulations to the youth, and we look forward to more successes and innovations!!
