A Poster Competition was held at the College of Oral and Dental Surgery – Misr University for Science and Technology, as a part of the IDC 23 Conference for students and graduates, which included all specialties within the field of dentistry
Preparations for the Poster Competition began at the College of Oral and Dental Surgery – Misr University for Science and Technology through the formation of a Scientific Committee, which includes: • Prof. Nihal Qabil: Professor of Pediatric Dentistry, Head of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics and Oral Biology.
Prof. Nawal Lashin: Professor of Oral Biology and Head of the Division of Oral Biology
Prof. Fahmy Abdel Salam: Professor of Oral Pathology
Prof. Hamdy Abu Al-Futouh: Professor of Prosthodontics – Cairo University
Prof. Muhammad Abu Al-Azayem:- Professor of Removable Prosthodontics
Prof. Ahmed Bassiouni: Assistant Professor of Orthodontics and Head of the Orthodontics Division
Prof. Sahar Mokhtar: Assistant Professor of Fixed Prosthodontics
Dr. Noha Nasr: Lecturer in the Division of Oral Medicine and Periodontology and Diagnosis
The Poster Competition was divided into two parts, one part for participants from outside the college and the other for participants from the college. Participants from outside the college were evaluated on Thursday and from inside the college on Friday. Fourteen Dental Schools from Egyptian universities participated, 135 students and graduates from inside and outside the college participated. Ninty five posters were discussed and evaluated over two days by the judges. Fifteen posters were presented by graduates and eighty posters by intern students.
Misr University for Science and Technology won the first three places in the graduates’ poster, and in the students’ poster, Misr University For Science and Technology won first and third place
