The College of Oral and Dental Surgery, Misr University for Science and Technology, organized the workshop titled “Zygomatic Implant Surgery,” the first of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East, in collaboration with AIM Academy based in Geneva, Switzerland, and VERDENT. Participating doctors were trained on the latest implant techniques using “zygomatic implants.” The workshop included dentists from various countries, including Egypt, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Germany, the UAE, and Iraq. The team from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the college performed 11 surgeries using 22 implants in the operating rooms of Souad Kafafi University Hospital over two full days, in addition to theoretical lectures and practical training on models, which took place on the first day of the workshop at Sofitel El Gezirah Hotel. After the workshop concluded, trainees from all countries received training certificates with accredited hours from the Continuing Education Center at the college. Based on the request of many doctors, registration for the next workshop will be opened and announced soon.
