The College of Oral and Dental Surgery celebrated World Autism Day through an awareness symposium held at MUST KNOWLEDGE CENTER on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024.
During the session, an awareness lecture was given by Dr. Hanan Balaou from the College of Special Education, Department of Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, on how to diagnose an autistic child and communicate with the child during treatment sessions.
Another lecture was presented by Prof. Nehal Kabel, Head of the Pediatric Dentistry Department and Head of the Pediatric Dentistry Unit at Souad Kafafi Memorial Hospital, on the latest techniques used in the dental treatment of autistic children using general and local anesthesia
