Students with Special Needs Sector

Speech by the Vice President of the University for Students with Special Needs

Proceeding from the primary concern of Misr University for Science and Technology for developing the capabilities of its students at all levels and from all groups, the university established the Sector of Students with Special Needs to support them, develop their capabilities, and integrate them into society. This perspective is in line with the state’s plan to care for people with  Special Needs and provide them with a decent life. The sector aims to solve the problems facing these students in various academic, social and medical aspects. Therefore, the sector has established a database that contains a case study of each student individually and the recommendations of the specialized evaluation committees. The sector is closely following up the implementation of these recommendations through direct communication with the various sectors in the university. The sector also offers various activities that aim at developing awareness of the importance of each individual’s role in supporting students with special needs to prepare them for a decent life during their university stage and afterward.
