University for Science and Technology, and in the presence of Professor Nahed El-Mahboub, President of the University, Professor Mukhtar Al-Dhwaheeri, Vice President of the University, Professor Anas Attia Al-Faqi, Director of the Arab Heritage Center and the General Supervisor of the competition, and Professor Hussaini Al-Jundi, the General Supervisor of the University Mosque, the university held a ceremony , April 2, 2024, corresponding to 23 Ramadan 1445 AH, to honor the winners of the Quran competition held during Ramadan each year.
This year, 350 participants from students, staff, and their children at the university participated in the competition.
Students from the College of Pharmacy excelled in this competition; where student Aya Saad Shaaban Ahmed won first place in memorizing the entire Quran with interpretation, student Muslim Munir Mohamed won third place, and student Ali Mohamed Ali Shihata won fourth place in the first level (Quran with interpretation).
The honorees were awarded with financial rewards and certificates of appreciation.
The ceremony began with the recitation of blessed verses from the Quran by student Mohamed Mahmoud Suleiman from the College of Nursing at the university, who is one of the honored winning students. The ceremony included a speech about the virtue and importance of memorizing the Quran by Professor Anas Attia Al-Faqi, the General Supervisor of the competition, supplications by Sheikh Bilal Saif and Sheikh Hani Zaruur, and a performance by student Ahmed Khalil.
