Opera Aida is a musical drama with a lyrical dialogue. It is a wonderful theatrical piece of art that includes scenes and dance interspersed with musical songs divided into 4 chapters that show the struggle between duty and passion. It narrates the love story between the Abyssinian captive Aida and Rada Mays, the commander of the Egyptian Army who was sentenced to death by the Pharaoh of Egypt after he tried to escape with Aida to Abyssinia.
Opera Aida was presented for the first time in 1871 at the stage of the old Khedive Opera House composed by the famous Italian musician Giuseppe Verdi and presented in Europe for the first time at La Scala Theater in Italy in February 1872
