The Psychological Guidance Unit and the Step Team from the College of Applied Health Sciences Technology participated in the seminar on academic and life stress and its effects on mental health, which was held on Monday, November 20, 2024, at the college building. The aim was to assist the college students and alleviate the impact of academic stress on their mental health.
The seminar included topics and questions such as:
What is stress and how does it affect us?
– Definitions of academic stress.
– Causes of academic stress among university and medical students.
– Signs of student stress.
– The negative impact of academic stress on students’ mental health. – Strategies to mitigate academic stress including time management and statistics Additionally, a survey was conducted by the Psychological Guidance Unit for the attending students
