Under the patronage of Mr. Khalid Al-Toukhi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Dr. Nihad Al-Mahboub, the Acting President of the University, and Dr. Mervat Mohamed Jamal, Head of the Psychology Department and Director of the Psychological Guidance Unit, and the Support Unit for Individuals with Special Needs.
The Psychological Awareness Team (Khatwa) collaborated with the Student Union of the Faculty of Physical Therapy to organize a seminar on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to assist attendees and all students facing current challenges, offering them support. This seminar took place on Tuesday, November 21, 2024, in the Knowledge Hall.
The seminar included common questions such as: ‘What happens when a person is affected by PTSD?’ and ‘Why doesn’t everyone develop it?’ It provided an introduction and definition of PTSD, its symptoms, including prevention and treatment, as well as an explanation of the services offered by the Psychological Guiding Unit for such cases
